This tour will take us around the best of coastal state of Kerala in southern India. Kerala has it all, beautiful beaches, lush tea plantations, emerald green land strewn with rivers, lagoons and backwaters, thick forests with magnificent elephants and other wildlife. Enchantingly beautiful, it is truly God's own country.

On this trip, we will be experiencing the diverse landscape, culture, cuisine and wildlife of Kerala. Arriving at the well-connected Coimbatore airport, we take you for a beautiful 7/8-hour drive through the greenest vistas in India. Munnar, a hill station at 1600 m altitude is the perfect start to a holiday in Kerala. With lovely weather all year through, its lush tea plantations and mist-covered hills are a sight to behold. For nature lovers, Munnar is close to a paradise. Eravikulam National Park (2000m), which was originally established to protect the endangered Nilgiri Tahr, is just 30 km from Munnar. This shola grassland eco-system is home to large numbers of birds, many of them endemic. With some stunning bird and wildlife sightings and fabulous views, we will move onto our next destination.

Completely different from the cool hills, we take you to warm Kumarakom, a sleepy hamlet near the sea, famous for its backwaters. Popular as a honeymoon destination, this naturally serene and laidback town is full of resorts where people come to unwind and relax. Indulge in authentic ayurvedic massages and treatments. Enjoy scrumptious mutton and fish preparations in true Kerala style. Let time stand still as you float on the backwaters on a sunset cruise. Watch small villages go by, as young kids wave to you from the banks and sometimes jump in to swim alongside. The experience is absolutely unforgettable.

Next day, we take you for an exciting boat ride through similar narrow canals all the way to Alleppey. Get a view of the back of beyond idyllic villages en route. From here we drive you to the exotic Marari Beach for the evening. Enjoy the warm water and golden sandy beach sipping fresh coconut water as you explore the traditional fishing village. Our last destination will be Cochin. After relaxing four nights, the gentle hustle bustle of Cochin will be the perfect way to get back to city life. A modern city with old world simplicity and charm, the old town of Matancherry is a must visit area. The Dutch synagogue, elaborate yet simple temples with their resident ornate holy elephants, the fishing nets silhouetted in the sea form a pretty fascinating picture. Another unmissable cultural experience is attending a Kathakali (Kerala's classical dance) perfomance which we will arrange for you. You will have two nights to soak in the vibe and enjoy the traditional cuisine before we take you back to the airport for your journey home.
